NATIONAL FRIENDLY SOCIETY
National Friendly has been working in the community to offer care & protection since 1868 - based from their head office in Clifton, Bristol.
National Friendly began as a friendly society and have been committed to looking after the best interests and well being of its members ever since.
From 1971 through to 1997 National Friendly acquired 4 other friendly societies: The Brighton & Sussex Mutual Provident, The WH Smith & Sons, The Railway Deposit & The National Ambulance Friendly Society.
National Friendly covered a small range of protection, health insurance, savings & investment products. They marketed their plans mainly via brokers, IFA's and sales & marketing online. They are therefore regarded as one of the smaller providers of life insurance. In 2009 they rebranded from National Deposit Friendly Society to just be called National Friendly & in 2011 due to the economic climate they stopped writing new business.
National Friendly product range for protection included healthcare, guaranteed no medical over 50's plan & similar products aimed at the 50 Plus marketplace.
