NATIONAL DEPOSIT FRIENDLY
National Deposit Friendly Society has been joining together with people in the community to offer them care and protection since 1868 - based from their head office in Clifton, Bristol.
National Deposit began as a friendly society and have been committed to looking after the best interests and well being of its members ever since.
From 1971 through to 1997 National Deposit acquired 4 other friendly societies: The Railway Deposit, The Brighton & Sussex Mutual Provident, The WH Smith & Sons & The National Ambulance Friendly Society.
National Deposit covered a small range of protection, health insurance, savings & investment products. They marketed their plans mainly via brokers, IFA's and sales & marketing online. They are therefore regarded as one of the smaller providers of life insurance.
From 2009 they rebranded to just be called National Friendly & for a while due to the economic climate, they stopped writing new business.
National Deposit Friendly Society product range for protection included healthcare, guaranteed no medical over 50's plan & similar products aimed at the 50 Plus marketplace.
