Non Status Remortgage               County Court Judgements ?

A CCj is a status judgment for debt in the county courts. If you have them registered, then depending how much & how many, you are probably not able to get a high street remortgage. You are therefore in the marketplace for a none status mortgage. If a judgment is settled in full within 30 days of the date of the judgment, it will not appear in the bad credit register. If a payment is made after 30 day then a  judgment will still appear in this register but will be shown as being satisfied. Note: If a judgment hasn't been settled ie; non payment or indeed has been satisfied, this may lead to some mortgage or loan lenders turning down a mortgage application. Any creditor can take legal action to recover any debt owing to them in a County Court [hence the name county court judgements].
Claims of upto £5,000 are known as the 'small claims track' and county court hearings are informal. The 'fast claims track' is generally for 1 day trial claims of up to £15,000 with costs recoverable being limited. The 'multi-track claim' is for all other cases. Any person, firm, non partner. company, or trustee may take proceedings within a County Court. If you disagree with any judgement status made, then you may appeals to the Court of Appeal. If you have ccj's you may still get a non status remortgage.

If your mortgage or loan is not paid, ie; non payment,  the status for the money owed is called 'arrears'. These arrears are known as 'priority debts', which means the consequences of not dealing with them are serious for your uk bad credit status - there is a risk of eviction if the loan is secured on your property. If you can't pay your mortgage or loan, you have missed payments or you're worried your payments are not being made, sort things out as soon as you can. Even if you have other debts, make sure you prioritise these arrears.
Things to consider to help you get back on track: 1] make a list of all your debts and put them in order of priority 2] write down all your income + expenses - then see how much you've got to pay your debts 3] work out how much you can afford to pay to each creditor (a person or organisation you owe money to) 4] consider seeking advice from a debt management agency such as National Debtline 5] most importantly, talk to your lenders or landlord - try to reach an agreement about seeking redress for their non payment, but don't agree to pay more than you can afford. One way to do this is through an agreed debt management plan. If you have arrears you may still get a non status re mortgage.
