LLOYDS TSB LIFE INSURANCE One of the UK big 4 banks, the origins of Lloyds Bank stretch back to 1765 & the origins of TSB go back to 1810. In 1988 they merged five of its businesses with the Abbey Life Insurance Company to create Lloyds Abbey Life. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) reportedly fined all these Companies many millions for mortgage endowment mis-selling & related deficiencies in its systems and functions.
